Root Canal Therapy
STOP PAIN & PRESERVE TEETH
Save Your Natural Tooth and Eliminate Pain
Despite historical misconceptions, modern endodontic procedures (root canals) are gentle, highly effective, and far more comfortable than their reputation suggests. A root canal is required when the internal pulp (the nerve bundle and blood vessels inside the root) becomes infected or inflamed due to deep decay, cracks, or trauma. Saving your natural tooth root is often the preferred long-term clinical option.
- Instant Pain Relief: Root canals are executed to *stop* acute dental pain caused by deep inflammation, not cause it.
- Complete Tooth Preservation: Maintaining your organic tooth root retains correct jawbone loading and spacing patterns.
- High-Efficiency Protocols: Usually finalized in a single, comfortable clinical visit under Dr. Singh's care.
- Comfort-First Care: We utilize advanced local dental anesthesia and modern instruments to keep you as comfortable as possible.

Root Canal FAQ
Dr. Singh performs root canals on front teeth (anterior teeth) and premolars right here in our Warren, OH office. More complex molar root canals are referred to a trusted endodontist (root canal specialist) to make sure you get the best result.
A root canal actually relieves pain rather than causing it. The tooth is fully numbed, so the procedure feels similar to getting a filling. The pain people remember usually comes from the infection beforehand, which the root canal treats. Our Root Canal Facts page explains why.
Common signs include lingering sensitivity to hot or cold, pain when biting, a pimple-like bump on the gum, or swelling. Only an exam and X-ray can confirm it. If you are having tooth pain, call us at (330) 847-0676 so we can take a look promptly.
After the infected pulp is removed and the canal is sealed, the tooth usually needs a crown to protect it from fracturing. We can make a permanent same-day crown in one visit with our in-office CEREC technology, so you are fully restored quickly.
Keeping your natural tooth with a root canal is almost always the best option when the tooth can be saved — nothing works quite like your own tooth. Extraction is a last resort, and if a tooth must come out we discuss replacement options with you.
