We are not in Cigna’s network, but Cigna patients are seen here routinely. Filing the claim is our job, not yours, and Cigna pays this office rather than reimbursing you.

Check the plan name on your card

  • Cigna Dental PPO (DPPO) — the usual employer plan, and the one we can bill. It normally includes an out-of-network benefit.
  • Cigna Dental Care — despite the name, this is the DHMO, not the PPO. It pays only at an assigned dentist, so please call first.
  • Cigna dental savings plans — a discount card rather than insurance, so there is no claim to file. Call and we will explain your options.

Your share

We will not quote a percentage, because your employer chooses the coverage tiers. We check the plan and give you a figure before treatment. If Cigna settles above our estimate you get the difference back as a credit or refund; if it settles below, a small balance can remain.
